Daddy's Girls by Stella Andrews ARC review

Daddy's GirlsDaddy's Girls by Stella Andrews

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Daddy’s Girls by Stella Andrews gets a 4/5 from this non Daddy’s girl.

Ashton was the girl we were left wondering about in Stella’s previous novel Rocked. Ashton was young, naïve and about to change her life in the biggest way possible. Left to the clean up man she now finds herself on the way to a new protected life as a wife and mother.

Ryder is a badass, no one messes with him or his motorcycle club. He loves his little girl and wants only the best for her. When he sees Ashton he knows what he needs to do, not only to protect her, but to give Cassie the mother she needs and deserves.

I’m still not sure how I feel about MC (Motorcycle Club) book as a genre. I got into this story less for the MC and more for the shear protectiveness of Ryder for his girls. The instant attraction they both felt toward each other. Most other aspects of the MC (aside from the somewhat normal home life of the married members) is a put off for me.

Daddy’s Girls only vaguely felt like a continuous from Rocked, with no even mention of previous characters aside from Donahue, to tie it together. If I hadn’t read Rocked I wouldn’t even know we briefly met Ashton before. It is a good standalone read by the author.

I liked the relationship Ashton developed with Jennifer (and Cassie with Imogene) but wish we had more back story or resolution with her (maybe she gets her own book?). Tyler and Kitty are up next and I will probably give them a shot too. This writer’s style isn’t my favorite but I was a little better keeping up with this novel than Rocked. I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this novel all opinions are my own.
