Ruined by Jackie Ashenden ARC review

Ruined (The Knights of Ruin #1)Ruined by Jackie Ashenden

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Where there is Smoke.......

Cat and Smoke have been friends since they were 5 and 7 years old. They have been there for each other over the years no matter what. When Cat runs into a big situation with her baby daddy she runs right to the one person she knows will help her no matter what.

Smoke would do anything for Cat and her daughter Annie. When Cat needs her help he knows there is only one-way to fix this for her. Make Cat his old lady. As part of the motorcycle club he knows she will be protected as his old lady.

Cat and Smoke quickly realize they are not only best friends but comfortable lovers.

This is a pretty quick read, I wish it had more back story growth but it wasn’t too little that you didn’t get an understanding on what they’ve been through. The storyline was pretty fast moving but didn’t get too confusing. I had some intimate moments that aren’t my cup of tea but it wasn’t overwhelming so I could skim that small part. My biggest gripe is having a character named “Keep”. It was confusing at some times in the story flow having a word like “Keep” and associating that with a person.

Another great Jackie Ashenden read, she doesn’t disappoint. I received an ARC in a author giveaway contest, all opinions are my own and were not solicited.
