Imogen Hargrove isn’t one to get riled easily. As the assistant to a powerful CEO and his 2 gorgeous son’s she doesn’t have time to let things get under her skin. Except for Caleb Allbrook, the CEO’s bad boy youngest son. He gets her thinking things she can’t possibly imagine. It’s really too bad she doesn’t swear because he is smurfing hot.
Caleb Allbrook is the misunderstood son next to his brother Jason the golden boy. He can’t figure out why their father hates him so much. He likes messing with Imogen because she is so put together and rigid. Half the time her lips are so straight she looks like she sucked on a lemon. One night he sees a glimpse of a fireball underneath all that prim and proper and decides he wants to see more.
Imogen has been cheated on in her past so when it looks like her sister is having the same problem with her fiancé she makes it her mission to blow his cover. Too bad she needs Caleb’s help to do so. Can she resist her attraction to him to keep this relationship, friends only?
Caleb wants Imogen all to himself and uses any and every opportunity to get her in his bed. Will it destroy the true friendship they have been working toward achieving?
Hard Deal is a 5 star story about not judging people by their appearances or at first glance. You never quite know what is going on beneath the surface as Imogen and Caleb both find in regards to the other. I loved the way Imogen came up with phrases instead of swearing. Her references had me laughing at loud at a few moments. I read an advance copy without any expectation for review. Any and all opinions expressed are my own.
I wish I would have found Ms. London sooner, I love her style of writing and will continue to snatch up her novels are they are published.
