Her Cherry by Penelope BloomMy rating: 5 of 5 stars
I want to be Grammy when I grow up!!!! Hailey always thought Grammy knew best but after William Chamberson takes her cherry and deflowers her she starts thinking Granny may be barking up the wrong tree.
Hailey is a 25 year old virgin, thanks to some skuzzy exes, and loves to bake more than sex (well that is obvious given the whole Vcard. She is also about a millisecond from getting evicted from both her apartment and her bake shop. She may not have much but she has her recipes, shop and everything inside that helps motivate her to trudge through life. After taking a bet with co-worker/pseudo little brother to shed her shyness and be bold with the first (not scurvy) guy that buys a cherry pie she isn’t sure she can do it. Until William struts into the bakery that is, she offers him her pie.
William is just trying to get a bagel when he walks into The Bubbly Baker, what he gets instead feels like a lick of his whole body. The sexy baker checked him out and then some, he actually felt a little dirty after her gawking. She offers him her cherry, pie that is and he leaves her his card after borrowing her flowers (it’s only stealing if he dies) to get her to call him. He has never felt like this before, can his little baker virgin be his soulmate?
Through in some meddling low life parents, an hysterical Grammy and her retirement cronies and you have an awesome experience by Penelope Bloom. Her Cherry is every bit the romantic comedy that His Banana was (if you haven’t read that one you must). 4 ½ stars for making me fall for Hailey and William and all their craziness. I received an advance copy without expectation for review. Any and all opinions expressed are my own.
